a copper oil supply pipe to a domestic boiler should be buried how far below groundHow deep should a domestic copper oil supply pipe be buried underground?
At least 400mm depending on what is running over the top of it if there are any couplings or joints under ground it should be tested 1 1/2 times working pressure to ensure it doesn't leak under groundHow deep should a domestic copper oil supply pipe be buried underground?
If your talking about fuel oil (diesel), I would not recommend using copper, as the sulfur in the diesel will corrode the pipe , also you should never use gavanised pipe as the sulphur will dissolve the zinc. we use black iron pipe
it is now recommended that the pipes are run above ground in case of a leak, modern diesel does not suffer with waxing in the cold any more. so no need to bury
Crane driver is right but as it is copper then you should consider wrapping it in a waterproofed oiled paper covering. This will stop and acid erosion from the earth etc and it should last for years.
Happy Christmas to you.
