Will my boiler cease up if the oil supply runs out ?

no but you'll have to get a cleaning and tune upWill my boiler cease up if the oil supply runs out ?
nope you just wont have any heat. when you do get oil again you will need to have the nozzle, oil filter changed, and get the lines bled for the unit to fire and operate efficiently. if the pump sits dry it can seize up and the seals dry out, the oil helps to prevent this

it is better to change the nozzle and oil filter when you run out of fuel because you obviously have run time on them. it is recommended by most burner manufacturers to change the oil filter every time you get fuel. for the cost of a nozzle and filter it is good peice of mind, and it generally saves a service call laterWill my boiler cease up if the oil supply runs out ?
no oil is the fuel not the lubricate like in a car
Just because you run out of oil does not guarantee that you'll have to change nozzle . filter, pump strainer, and blow out all of the lines. This is the exception and not the rule. You will have to bleed the air out of the line, unless you have a 2 line system which will bleed itself.
it won't ruin your boiler, but you will have to have the line bled so it will fire again...if you run out of oil, air gets into the line and needs to be bled out. So..it won't sieze but it will cease:)
NO but it will stop running, then you will have to change the filter the nozzle and the oil pump strainer and bleed the lines of air before you will be able to start it again.

In some cases you may also need to blow out the oil lines because they may become clogged with sludge from the bottom of the oil tank.
