What's happening to the world's oil supply?

I saw this article on Yahoo earlier: http://green.yahoo.com/news/ap/20080524/ap_on_re_us/environmental_survivalists.html

What's it supposed to mean? Are we going to have to switch to some other fuel besides oil in a few years? Is anything really going to happen? What's happening to the world's oil supply?
As the world's oil supply shrinks, as it has been for the last 100 years, energy prices will go up internationally in reaction to the drop in supply. Furthermore, as countries like India and China have millions and millions of people switching from animal transportation to cars, the demand for oil will increase exponentially.

What does this mean for you and me? Prices on all goods will increase, while the jobs available will decrease. Things will cost more, and they'll be less money to be made in the US economy. That is, of course, until the big Oil Companies usher in the age of hydrogen fuel cells.

Also, don't bother blaming the ';big oil companies'; everyone seem to hate. They can only follow the laws of supply and demand, and the reason they make big money is because the US buys TONS of oil. Furthermore, the infrastructure needed to convert the US to a non-petroleum based fuel system can most readily be paid for and run by the big oil companies, so they'll become ';big hydrogen companies.';What's happening to the world's oil supply?
The world is going to witness a great upheaval due to the sky rocketing oil prices. The cascading effects of this fuel price rise is there to see in every nation. The steep food price rise is causing concern among the leaders of the world. The worst affected are the poor and the developing nations. There is already a blame game as to the cause of the food price rise. The world is sharply divided. The world bodies like the UNO may have to interfere and sort out things. The General Assembly of the UNO may be convened to discuss the ways and means of sorting out this crisis.
India and China are using it up as much as we are in the USA. Add Europe and Russia as consumers of oil and you can see that there's just a lot more demand for it now. It's the law of supply and demand, hence the price is going up as demand goes up. The availability of the supply is very debatable, but the demand is insatiable as it is.
The world still has a huge oil supply. There is nothing to worry about. We in the USA must demand that our government tell the environmental wackos to just shut up, so we can drill for our own oil. And to stop turning food and food crop land into fuel. That is immoral and a very bad idea pushed by corporate farms.
Let me tell you this, a lot of countries have oil, Alaska has a lot of oil that is capped, just like a lot of other countries, they would rather use someone else's oil than their own. there is no oil shortage.
the world is running out of oil and with global warming we need to find other was of producing energy with out polluting our planet. so we are researching alter net fuels like solar energy, hydrogen, and other energy sources.
It is a finite resource. You can't pump 20 million barrels a day from the Earth and expect it to last. It will run out in your lifetime. In 4 years it will be $300 a barrel and gas will be $7 a gallon.
