How about the Housing Bubble won't burst theory? You guys all said, Gas will NEVER be below 3 dollars a gallon again and that there is no housing bubble. I also remember you bragging that there was no recession as well. It must suck to be you this year.Do The Republican geniuses still stick to the supply and demand oil theory?
maybe but only in the convoluted way.Do The Republican geniuses still stick to the supply and demand oil theory?
Demand is down and prices are down in oil. Refineries are working at almost full capacity. Speculators see this as reason for prices to drop. As soon as Nancy gets the Congress back together and bans offshore drilling, it will go up. If there is any disruption in the supply it will go up. If OPEC cuts production it will go up. It is supply and demand. It was the Dems who said gas would never be below 3 dollars a gallon. Many of them were happy bc then people did not drive as much. The housing bubble happened mainly bc banks were being forced to give loans to people who did not meet the requirements. People bought houses they could not afford. Housing markets, just like everything else, go up and down. It is about supply and demand.
There is a lesser demand right now and the home prices are lower, It is actually a buyer's market and there are many great deals to be found. There has to be 2 consecutive quarters of negative growth to be a recession and we grew last quarter. More people are not paying their bills bc Obama lead them to believe they did not have to. Would you prefer China or Russia's economic plan? Looks like it is coming.
Don't be a fool... Supply and Demand still dictate prices. The change that nobody expected was the global economic collapse that has cut demand for oil. Thus the price has tanked...
I'm sorry, but your liberal conspiracy theories of big fat oil men setting prices and putting the screws to the common man just don't hold water. Any true capitalist knows you can never say ';never';. At one time Salt was worth its weight in gold. Today its worthless because we have refrigeration. Markets change and prices fluctuate. Deal with it.
What do Republicans have to do with it? Recessions occur about every 8-10 years. Gas will always be priced based on supply and demand unless some other control is put on it. These are just normal economic functions. Political party has nothing to do with it. Odd question.
';It must suck to be you this year.';
No, it must suck to be a Democrat - when bad news for the nation (unrest in Iraq, economic woes, high gas prices) is good news for your party.
