How many years of oil supply does our 3% of known oil reserves represent?

3% of known worldwide oil reserves is what the democrat candidates keep saying is all we have. How many years of US oil consumption will that provideHow many years of oil supply does our 3% of known oil reserves represent?
60 yearsHow many years of oil supply does our 3% of known oil reserves represent?
Not enough.

And the ';offshore drilling'; that McCain and Palin are advocating won't come online for another 10 years.

And Palin's much -touted ';energy pipeline? That is barely in the planning stages - it has to pass rigorous environmental standards ( in the US AND Canada, where our natives have a voice in pipelines passing through their lands), and needs the on-going interest and support of the oil companies that she's spent so much time pissing off.

Odds are good that it's not going to be built for 10 years, if ever.

So Alaska's ';energy contribution'; isn't what she's alleging it to be.
I hope to God we don't use the oil reserves. That is for Emergencies. In case we are ever attacked and have to Fuel our military.

As far as your question goes I don't know.
