Why are we buying what we can produce ourselves? It is like having a farm and buying food from the city. What is it that makes people think only gas, when they think of oil. We need oil to make plastic, tar for the roads, cosmetics, etc. The evil oil companies are paying more taxes than anyone reports and the government wants a bigger piece of the pie. We are an illiterate and miss informed nation.Is it responsible to choke off US oil supply before an alternative is ready and in good supply?
The only thing choking off our oil supply is years of waste and market competition from people like China--who we are helping to fund our demise.
