China is getting bigger and their demands for oil is getting larger. They have made overtures to Chavez, Putin, the Saudis and Canada regarding oil supply. How is the USA going to react to the new China on this matter especially because they own the USA debtHow is the USA going to react when China starts going after the same world oil supply?
If the right-wing were still going to be in power, they'd probably start another damned war.





Since the Democrats will be in power, however, we can expect them to focus on scrapping our outmoded relience on 19th century fossil fuel technology and replacing it with modern systems of energy production, which will be cleaner, safer, and ultimately cheaper. That will give the US a competative advantage over China in the world markets.How is the USA going to react when China starts going after the same world oil supply?

The price of oil will increase and liberals will complain about it. It's not really hard to figure out. What is the new China ?
We already sell them our Alaska Oil.
It's already happening. But you should also have included India too.





It would seem a good thing is China wants to buy all the oil from Chavez, so the USA can just ignore him. Although China, India %26amp; the USA are competitors, they also sell their products in each others countries. So to protect the consumer societies they should probably divide up their oil demands in a synergous manner.
If it were up to Bush, he'd start bombing immediately.

When it starts what are you talking about they already are everybody in the world puts sanctions on a country and China goes in and opens up trade with them including dictators and terroist regimes. They are not trustworthy.
Hopefully by then we will be using more alternative power sources.
